Oxygen Generation for Oxy-Acetylene Cutting
Oxy-acetylene welding or cutting is also known as oxy-fuel welding (OFW). This process depends on using a unique combustion of oxygen (O2) and acetylene, where the two are combined in appropriate proportions inside a mixing chamber. A high-heat flame is then produced between 5800 °F to 6300 °F for different operations, including brazing, braze welding, pre-/post-heating, surfacing, bending, and straightening. Versatility is added with accessories such as multi-flame heating nozzles and cutting attachments. OFW also entails welding various metals such as carbon steel, low alloy steels, aluminum, cast iron, and magnesium.
